Additional Info: This has to be the greatest find in our 22 year history of selling vintage. Original Type 1 Levis Jackets are of museum grade and hardly ever seen anywhere in the world!

The Type 1 was the first ever Levis Strauss jacket ever made. They were in fact referred to as a Levis Blouse before the term was changed to jacket. It's made of selvage denim and features a single pocket, front knife pleats, Capital E single sided red tab (first introduced in this 1936 model), lemon yellow stitching,cinch back with pin teeth found in the 1930s models and the pocket and cuff vents are kept together with brass rivets instead of stitching.

We can't state enough how collectible, sort after and rare these jackets are. This is a piece of fashion and cultural history, this is a jacket that would be front and centre in any denim or fashion collection.
