STEP 1

From a loving wardrobe to a donation bin.

It all starts with clothing in peoples wardrobes. Once a person has no use, desire or need to have the clothing it is often donated by the owner to clothing collection bins located all over the united states, which are often owned by charities or industrial rag yards themselves.

Other sources of clothing collection can be seasonal dead stock sold or donated by major retail and independent companies. Deceased estates can also be a place where “RAG” (a term we use in the business) can be found

STEP 2

Picked up With Care and Delivered to a Rag House.

Once the clothing is collected, industrial Rag Yard Companies based all over the United States, Europe and Asia, ship the contents of those clothing bins and other source points to their prospective yards. Each yard can vary in size, but some can be as large as small airports with tens of thousands of tons of clothing sorted within its walls.

STEP 3

Sorted by Experts So That No Treasure Is Missed.

Once the tonnage of clothing is within a yard, it is then often circulated on a conveyer belt where well trained yard staff are responsible for sorting certain categories of clothing such as dresses, T-shirts, Denim Jackets etc. These experts of rag grab hold of whatever item they are responsible for as it moves by them on the conveyer belt. Once they have collected a large amount of a certain category it is then taken away for further sorting.

STEP 4

Items are shipped to vintage stores all over the world.

Once a collection of a certain category of clothing has been collected, it is here where the true skills of grading take place. Well trained sorting staff now go through each individual piece taking note of its age, rarity, condition, size, trend and to whether it is a brand or not. When sorting these pieces with these considerations in mind, the item of clothing is then assigned a grading category of either: A Grade, B Grade, C Grade or D Grade.

STEP 5

In store, the items are curated and ready for their new life!

Now that the clothing is categorised according to its age, rarity, condition, size, trend and its label, it is now ready to be placed into orders for independent renewable retail companies such as ourselves here at The Love Bubble Co.
