Returns, Refunds & Buying Vintage

Buying Vintage with Confidence

Buying vintage is different.

Every vintage garment carries its own history, character and observable characteristics. Unlike newly manufactured clothing, no two vintage pieces age in exactly the same way, and no two garments tell exactly the same story.

At Love Bubble Co., we believe vintage clothing deserves to be represented honestly. Every garment is individually selected, researched, inspected, photographed and described so you can make an informed purchasing decision.

This guide explains how we assess our garments, how we describe their condition and what you can expect when purchasing from Love Bubble Co.

Our Approach

Everything we do is guided by three simple principles: accuracy, transparency and respect for vintage.

Our product descriptions, estimated eras, licensing information and brand identification reflect our carefully considered professional assessment based on each garment’s observable characteristics, including labels, construction, manufacturing techniques, print characteristics and other relevant information available at the time of listing.

Where the observable characteristics and available information do not support a definitive conclusion, we deliberately use careful and appropriately qualified language rather than making claims that cannot be confidently supported.

As is common within the vintage clothing industry, reasonable differences in collector or expert opinion may exist and do not, by themselves, mean a garment has been misrepresented.

Understanding Vintage Condition

Vintage clothing has lived a previous life, and signs of age are often part of what make these garments unique.

Fading, print wear, repairs, fraying, colour variation and other condition characteristics consistent with age and use are frequently part of a garment’s history rather than defects.

We carefully inspect every garment before it is listed and make every reasonable effort to identify and photograph significant condition characteristics.

Because every garment is individually sourced and we process thousands of unique vintage pieces, minor condition characteristics consistent with age and use may occasionally be present without being individually documented. Examples may include faint marks, tiny pinholes, loose threads or subtle signs of wear that do not materially affect the garment.

Product photographs form an important part of every listing, and we encourage customers to review all photographs carefully before purchasing.

Measurements & Fit

Vintage sizing varies considerably between brands, countries and manufacturing eras.

The original tagged size is provided as a guide only and should not be relied upon as the primary indicator of fit.

Where garment measurements are provided, they should always be used as your primary guide to fit, as vintage sizing can vary significantly from modern sizing expectations.

Some older listings created before our current listing standards may not include measurements. If measurements are unavailable, please contact us before purchasing and we’ll be happy to assist wherever reasonably possible.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this guide excludes, restricts or limits any rights or remedies available to you under Australian Consumer Law.

If a garment has a major fault, is materially different from its description, or otherwise fails to meet the applicable consumer guarantees, you are entitled to the remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

We ask that any concerns regarding a garment are brought to our attention as soon as reasonably possible so we can assess and resolve the matter fairly.

Returns & Refunds

Because every vintage garment is individually selected and described, returns are generally not accepted where a purchase is made due to a change of mind, incorrect fit where measurements have been provided, personal preference, expectations formed after purchase, subjective opinions regarding colour, fade, wear or appearance that have been accurately represented in the listing, or changes in personal style, wardrobe preferences or fashion trends after purchase.

Please inspect your purchase promptly upon delivery.

If you believe a garment is faulty or materially different from its description, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and within seven (7) days of delivery.

When contacting us, please include your order number, a description of the issue and clear photographs so we can assess the matter as quickly and fairly as possible.

Claims made outside this timeframe may become more difficult to assess, particularly where a garment has been worn, washed, altered or otherwise used following delivery. This timeframe does not limit any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

Where a return is approved because a garment is faulty or materially different from its description, Love Bubble Co. will provide return instructions and advise whether return shipping costs will be covered, taking into account Australian Consumer Law and the circumstances of the return.

International Orders

Love Bubble Co. proudly ships to customers around the world.

This policy applies to both Australian and international purchases.

Unless a garment is faulty, materially different from its description, or otherwise required by applicable consumer law, returns are generally not accepted on international orders.

Where an international return is approved, customers are responsible for safely packaging and returning the garment unless otherwise advised.

Import duties, customs charges, taxes and similar government fees imposed by the destination country remain the responsibility of the customer and are generally non-refundable.

Exchanges

Many of our garments are vintage, pre-owned or available in limited quantities, which means exchanges cannot always be guaranteed.

Where a return is approved and suitable stock is available, Love Bubble Co. may, at its discretion, offer an exchange, store credit or refund, taking into account the circumstances of the return and the remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
